    Vision and Mission

KVS believes in providing excellence in knowledge and values through high-quality educational efforts while nurturing the talent, enthusiasm, and creativity of its students. Its objective is to cater to the educational needs of transferable Central Government, Defence, and Para-military personnel’s children through a uniform curriculum, promote innovations in education, foster a sense of national unity, and instill the spirit of “Indianness.” KVS establishes, operates, and manages Kendriya Vidyalayas to provide quality education to the children of transferable employees, temporary populations, and others residing in remote and underdeveloped areas. All Kendriya Vidyalayas follow a common set of textbooks, adopt a bilingual medium of instruction, and are affiliated with the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). These schools follow a co-educational and holistic education system, where Sanskrit is taught from Classes VI to VIII. The teacher-student ratio is maintained at an appropriate level to ensure quality education, and no tuition fee is charged for boys up to Class VIII, girls up to Class XII, students belonging to Scheduled Castes/Scheduled Tribes, and children of KVS employees.
